Child Car Seat Installs & Inspections

We are pleased to announce: Tyngsborough FF/EMT-B Jon Chisholm recently completed the National Child Passenger Safety Certification Program put forth by the National Highway Transportation Safety Administration and Safe Kids Worldwide. This certification allows Jon to inspect and help install all sizes and types of car seats for the public.

Anyone interested in scheduling an inspection: Please call 978-649-7671 and select option 2. The firefighter or officer that answers will take down your name and phone number and then schedule you to stop by the station when Jon is on shift. Or you can email Jon. It is not required to have the kids who are using the car seats present, but it's helpful to have them there to ensure a good harness fit. Before your first child comes, Jon can help with your infant seat and answer any questions you may have. If at your scheduled appointment Jon has to respond to an emergency call, he will call your number on his return and reschedule. Jon is looking forward to this new responsibility and to sharing his knowledge with the public.
